September 2007 – Hiking through the California San Gabriel Wilderness we organized a team of volunteers to clean pollution along the East Fork of the San Gabriel River, with a concentrated effort around trails, and campsite maintenance.

May 2011 – Traveled to one of the few National Wildlife Refuge sites in Big Sandy, Tennessee. Met with conservation advocates and learned more of the Tennessee and Kentucky Forests

April 2013 – On the third day, American Wildfire Fund officially incorporated and became a national working public charity. We have applied to have the 501(c)3 designation and are awaiting further correspondence from the Internal Revenue Service.
