237,341 + Acres BURNED

Over 237,341 acres have burned in what is called the Rim Fire. 111 Structures have burned, 11 homes, and the fire threatened 4500 more. It spans the mountains in the Yosemite Valley. The US Forest Service in a recent update stated that this fire is now 75% contained. The wildfire blaze rages on in this Northern California protected wilderness. The gigantic Rim Fire raging in and around Yosemite National Park began when a hunter allowed an illegal fire to get out of control, investigators from the U.S. Forest Service and Tuolumne County District Attorney's Office reported Thursday.See how you can help by clicking on the link  t
